This quilt was made from the ties of my doctor's deceased father and a few of his own. It was made for his mother as a Mother's Day gift two years ago now. I used some ties and some washable satin for the center strings, minky as sashing and backing, and tie scraps for the corner posts. I was told the recipient was thrilled with the quilt and naps with it every day. The picture does not show true colors.
